The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen has launched Education Stability Enhancement Initiative in Socotra.
This comes within the framework of Saudi Arabia’s development efforts to support the education sector in Yemen.
The initiative resulted in the resumption of the educational process at the University of Socotra and the reopening of its doors, in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen supports the education sector at all levels and has provided support in 11 Yemeni governorates: Taiz, Aden, Socotra, al-Mahrah, Marib, Hadhramaut, Hajjah, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwah and al-Dhalea, through the implementation of approximately 60 sustainable development projects and initiatives.
These educational projects and initiatives include support for general and higher education, as well as technical and vocational training. They aim to contribute to achieving a positive impact on the lives of individuals and local communities in Yemen, enhancing comprehensive development and building a bright and promising future for the country.
