Yemen participated in the 12th meeting of the Arab Union of Constitutional Courts in Rabat, Morocco, led by Chief Justice Dr. Ali Al-Awash.
The conference focused on "The Impact of Constitutional Jurisdiction on Comparative Constitutional Systems" and brought together heads of Arab supreme and constitutional courts.
The meeting discussed experiences of Arab courts in constitutional jurisdiction, presented research on the authority and effects of constitutional rulings, and explored ways to protect rights and freedoms.
Dr. Al-Awash presented Yemen's experience in constitutional jurisdiction, legislation, and judicial precedents, sharing principles established by Yemen's Supreme Court to benefit Arab judicial practitioners and develop common rules for constitutional courts in the Arab world.
On the sidelines, Dr. Al-Awash met with heads of Arab constitutional courts to discuss issues affecting Yemen's Supreme Court and explore ways to enhance cooperation and exchange judicial expertise.
