Interior Minister, Major General Ibrahim Haydan, met with US Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, to explore ways to strengthen bilateral security cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting focused on joint efforts in counter-terrorism, arms and narcotics trafficking, and combating criminal networks linked to Houthi militias and terrorist organizations.
Minister Haydan appreciated US government support in the security sector, praising their role in enhancing the Interior Ministry's capabilities to address security challenges.
Ambassador Fagin commended the Interior Ministry's achievements, particularly the seizure of a narcotics factory in Mahra Governorate, reaffirming the US commitment to bolstering security cooperation with Yemen and supporting the government's efforts to establish security and stability.
