Defense Minister Mohsen al-Daeri held talks with the acting Chinese ambassador to Yemen Shao Zheng over the latest developments in Yemen.

Al-Daeri appreciated the distinctive bilateral relations between Yemen and China in different fields.

He said that, "The region will not see calm and stability while the Iranian regime keeps supporting and smuggling weapons and experts to the terrorist Houthi militia." He noted that the militia keep attacking commercial vessels threatening to ignite war.

For his part, the Chinese diplomat reiterated his country's support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to secure a lasting and sustainable peace.
