Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi along with two of his deputies Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujalli laid the foundation stone for a Martyrs' Memorial in the historic Qahira Castle in the city of Taiz, in commemoration and loyalty to Taiz's martyrs who laid down their lives cheaply for the republic and the values ​​of freedom, justice and equal citizenship against the racist Imamite threat.

The Leadership Council chairman boasted the launching of this memorial project which recognizes the sacrifices of the martyrs in confronting the terrorist Houthi militia.

He said that choosing Taiz as a site for the memorial comes in recognition and appreciation of its great sacrifices and the epic resoluteness of its people in the fateful battle against the terrorist Houthi militia who have been imposing an unjust siege on the city for more than ten years.
