Coast Guard Chief discusses joint security cooperation with Djibouti
The Chairman of the Coast Guard Authority Maj. General Khalid al-Qamali held talks today, Wednesday, with his Djiboutian counterpart Colonel Wa'is Omar on joint cooperation in maritime security, combat organized crime, prevent all forms of smuggling and protect navigation in the western Gulf of Aden, Bab el-Mandeb and southern Red Sea regions.

Widespread arrests as riots and vandalism continue in several British cities

British police announced today the arrest of nearly 100 people who participated last night in demonstrations and riots in several cities.

The police said in a statement that the arrests took place in the cities of Liverpool, Manchester, and Hull, in addition to Belfast, Blackpool, and Bristol, where riot police confronted thousands of demonstrators from far-right organizations. It said, "The riots and vandalism affected public and private property after setting fire to a public library in the town of Woolton, north of Liverpool, while cars and shops were subjected to looting and robbery."
