The Deputy Governor of Marib, Dr. Abd-Rabu Miftah inaugurated Sunday the Khawla Residential Village project in Al-Jufaina camp, south of Marib City, with a cost of SAR 1.6 million, financed by the Kuwaiti Zakat House.
The project, implemented by the "Hiteen Yemen" Foundation, consists of 53 housing units, each unit containing two rooms, a bathroom, and a kitchen, in addition to the village's service facilities, including a school, a mosque, a health unit, and an integrated water project.
After the inauguration, Deputy Governor Miftah, accompanied by the Director of the Executive Unit for the Management of IDP Camps in Marib, Saif Muthna, and the Director of Hiteen Foundation, Dr. Jamal Moqbil, distributed the housing units to the beneficiary families of the displaced and the poorest families in the governorate.
Deputy Governor of Marib emphasized the importance of implementing such sustainable development projects for the displaced persons in the governorate in all sectors, especially the housing sector, by creating safe homes capable of withstanding various climatic factors and changes.
He appreciated the humanitarian role of the Kuwaiti brothers and their support to their Yemeni brethren in these exceptional and difficult circumstances that our people are going through in the current stage, as well as their significant contributions in alleviating the suffering of displaced people over the past years.
