Bulgarian PM commends his country's progress in fighting corruption

Bulgarian Prime Minister said on Wednesday his country has risen from the abyss of corruption which the country had been mired in during the years of Transition.

He said the impacts of the anti-corruption schemes and transparency measures have affected some influential and this is the reason why the government comes under attack.

Later on Wednesday, the Bulgarian Cabinet is to approve a memorandum of cooperation with Transparency International as part of the anti-corruption efforts.
