His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, highly applauded the significant contribution of the women to the development drive in the governorate of al-Mahra.

His comments came during his meeting today, Monday, at the republican Palace in al-Ghaidah city with the representatives of the women constituency in the governorate.

His Excellency confirmed the keenness of the Presidential Leadership Council and the Government to further promote the participation of the women politically and economically.

He said " We're very keen to engage the woman politically and economically, protect her rights enshrined in the constitution, national and international laws, ensure the women's leading role in the peace-building and making the desirable change".
