Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammar al-Eryani issued an urgent appeal to the Director-General of UNESCO Audrey Azoulay and the Director of the UNESCO Regional Office for the Gulf States and Yemen Salah Khalid to immediately intervene to preserve and protect the archaeological areas that have been badly affected by the rains and floods that swept a number of historic cities located in the Houthi militia- controlled areas.

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi along with two of his deputies Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi and Sheikh Othman Mujalli paid today an inspection visit to a Saudi-funded project of maintenance for Hayjat Al-Abd, a perilous mountainous serving as the main humanitarian conduit connecting the Houthi militia-besieged city of Taiz with Lahj and Aden governorates.
