Authority, in the temporary capital Aden, confirmed that airlines, international organizations and operators must obtain a prior flight permission from the Authority to enter the airspace of the Republic of Yemen, as it is the official civil aviation authority of the country.

Minister of Transport: The projects of SPDRY will achieve quality leap in the activity of Aden Airport

Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdulsalam Saleh Hamid, stressed the importance of the projects that were implemented and are being implemented by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen SPDRY in the various facilities of Aden International Airport in improving the movement of air navigation activity and upgrading it.

He added, during an inspection visit to the airport, today, that the airport will witness a quali leap after the implementation of the package of projects for the third phase of rehabilitation of the airport, which the supervisor of the program Dr. Mohammed Al Jaber.. appreciating the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represented by the Saudi program in supporting and developing the various transport sectors.

The Minister of Transport, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Engineer Tariq Abdo Ali, and the Undersecretary of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Engineer Muhammad Nasher, were briefed on the completed projects for the second phase at Aden International Airport represented in the rehabilitation and construction of the "random" landing and take-off corridor and air navigation and communications equipment, with support and financing from the Saudi Program for the Development of and reconstruction of Yemen.

Minister Hamid was also briefed on the air traffic at the airport, the mechanism for organizing and operating the arrival and departure halls, counters for completing travel and passport transactions, inspection devices, baggage conveyors, the first-class lounge for guests of honor, the quality of services provided to arriving and departing travelers, the method of conducting transactions, and the extent of commitment to applying procedures in accordance with the regulations in effect in airports.
