In the meeting, which was attended by Vice Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Shaddadi, President al-Alimi listened to a briefing from the UN envoy on results of his recent meetings on local and regional levels.

He praised efforts of Saudi Arabia based on the Saudi initiative for peace in 2021 and the importance of building on it to push Houthi terrorist militia to interact positively with international and regional efforts for launching an inclusive political process led by the United Nations.

President al-Alimi welcomed the Security Council's release, which called upon parties to engage in peace efforts in good will and emphasized referring to the agreed upon references led by Security Council's relevant resolutions when commencing any negotiation process.

He confirmed commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to efforts of the UN envoy, international and regional brokers and all initiatives aiming at ending humanitarian suffering and realizing legal aspirations of Yemeni people in regaining their states institutions, peace, stability and development.

He called upon international community to double pressure on the Houthi militia to honor their commitments regarding the file of detainees on the bases of Stockholm Agreement and recent understandings, which stress exchanging visits to detentions to unearth destination of thousands of kidnapped and hidden people in the militia's prisons, led by Mohammad Qahtan, who is included in SC's Resolution.

President al-Alimi pointed out to the militia's unreadiness for peace choice, neglecting complicated suffering of Yemeni people, shown recently in painful disaster in Sana'a, which killed dozens of poor people who were seeking for any humanitarian assistances.

He also pointed out to danger of continuous silence of the International Community to Houthi militia's unilateral measures and major violations to human rights, as this silence encouraged the militia to recruit more than a million children in their sectarian summer camps.
