Yemen condemns Israeli Knesset's approval of law to execute Palestinian prisoners

The Republic of Yemen strongly condemns, in the strongest terms, the approval by what is known as the Israeli Knesset of a law stipulating the execution of Palestinian prisoners, and considers it an extremely dangerous escalation and a legislative precedent that entrenches an approach of extermination, and a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and a breach of international charters and agreements, namely the relevant Geneva Conventions on the protection of prisoners.

Minister of Education Tariq al-Akbari discussed Sunday with Deputy Director of Kuwaiti Relief Agency Adel Baeshen mechanism of enhancing cooperation and partnership in educational field.

The meeting reviewed interventions of Kuwaiti agency in educational field and plans in qualifying and equipping infrastructure of schools and educational institutions.

Minister al-Akbari confirmed significance of promoting cooperation and partnership with Kuwaiti Relief Agency as one of strategic partners in supporting and helping educational sector in Yemen, praising support of Kuwait in different domains.

For his part, Baeshen confirmed continuous support of Kuwait through the relief agency in Yemen in different sectors, especially educational one.
