The head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, received today Yemen's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak who conveyed to him the greetings of His Excellency Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and his great appreciation for the honorable Sudanese positions in supporting the Yemeni people and their government, and the wishes for more security, stability and a decent life for the brotherly Sudanese people.

During the meeting, the head of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council praised the distinguished relations and emotional bonds that bring together the peoples of Yemen and Sudan, stemming from the rapprochement imposed by factors of religion, language, geography and shared destiny.

Al-Burhan affirmed the Republic of Sudan's firm position in supporting the Yemeni authorities, and its determination to upgrade the relations of the two countries and push them towards the required levels in various fields, in a way that meets the aspirations of the two peoples and guarantees them development, security and stability.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs had reviewed the developments of the situation in Yemen, and the international and regional efforts aimed at achieving a just and comprehensive peace based on the agreed terms of reference, in addition to the reforms undertaken by the Yemeni government to move the wheel of development and enhance services to alleviate the humanitarian crisis resulting from the coup of the terrorist Houthi militia, and to move forward towards restoring the state and rebuilding all its institutions over all Yemeni soil.
