Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received Tuesday credentials of new ambassador of Portugal to Yemen Nonu Voltair Matias, who conveyed best wishes of Portuguese President to President al-Alimi.
After the routine protocols, President al-Alimi held meeting with the Portuguese diplomat, discussing mutual relations between the two countries and latest developments in Yemen, as well as international and regional efforts for reviving peace process in the country.
President al-Alimi praised Portuguese and European position supporting Yemeni people for alleviating their humanitarian suffering and support for regaining the state institutions and ending Houthi terrorist militia's coup against the state.
