Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, discussed with the Resident Representative of the United Nations Development Program, Zina Ali in Aden today prospects for cooperation and coordination between the two sides to support projects for the development of transport sectors.
The meeting reviewed several issues, including the progress of joint projects between the Program and the Ministry, and the measures that have been achieved related to the stranded Safer oil tanker, reducing the costs of insurance fees for ships arriving at Yemeni ports from the risks of war.
The minister touched on the conditions of the transport sectors and their needs in terms of rehabilitation and development projects for infrastructure, building the capacities of their cadres, and raising their technical and professional readiness to contribute to providing the required services and overcoming the reality of the current stage.
