The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. PM chairs first meeting of crisis cell over economic, financial and monetary developments

Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik chaired the first meeting of the crisis cell formed by a decision of the Presidential Leadership Council, to follow up on economic, financial and monetary developments.

In its meeting via videoconference, the Crisis Cell discussed its work priorities, the tasks ahead of it, and mechanisms for implementing immediate solutions to issues and developments at the economic, financial and living levels, and in this regard approved its work program and priorities for its activities in the short and medium term.

It also discussed the level of implementation of government policies and procedures to limit the catastrophic effects of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities, freedom of global trade, mitigation of its repercussions on the humanitarian and economic situation, and additional measures required in this regard.

The meeting reviewed the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council and its support for government measures and policies taken in the economic, financial and monetary aspects, to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, as a result of the war that the terrorist Houthi militia ignited since its coup against the legitimate authority and its continued targeting of the capabilities of the Yemeni people to serve Iran's project and agenda in the region.

The Prime Minister briefed the members of the Crisis Cell on the presentation he made to the Presidential Leadership Council on policies aimed at maintaining economic, monetary, service and commodity stability, and the directives issued by the Leadership Council in this regard.
