Chief Security of Aden governorate Maj. General Mutaher Ashua'ibi inuaugrated today, Thursday, the new building of the Department of Family Protection and Women Police in Aden Police Administration headquarters.
The facility project supported by the Penal Reform International Organization, funded by the Netherlands government.
The premises contains a department for family and child protection, women police section, public relations, secretariat and archive.
General Ashuaibi hailed the inauguration of the facility as a significant achievement will contribute to offer women the needed protection and assistance and bolster the capacities of the security and police services in Aden governorate.
He stated that Aden Police Administration is very keen to develop the Woman Police capacities and service, engaging policewomen in the different sections of the security units and forces.
The Director General of the Department for Family and Child Department Brigadier Alia Saleh passionately celebrated the inauguration of the facility as a very useful outcome of the collaboration between the General Department of Woman Department at the Interior Ministry and the Penal Reform International Organization.
She said" The facility will significantly help to meet the special needs of women, providing them with the greatly needed legal care and assistance about the national and international legislations".
