Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamar al-Eryani has said Iran's regime continues supplying Houthi terrorist militia with weapons and military technology, including ballistic rockets and drones in blatant violation to Security Council's resolutions led by Resolution 2216.
This happens under international silence and failure of doing its duties to protect principles of UN Charter and protect international security and peace, he said.
" Objecting an Iranian ship loaded with more than 50 tons of shells, valves and rockets' fuel by US Marine while in their way to Houthi militia, a month after seizing a ship carrying on board rockets and explosive materials, confirms Iran Regime's escalation of trafficking weapons in preparations for a new round of conflict," al-Eryani told Saba in a statement on Thursday.
He pointed out that this escalation confirms Iran's blots to run away of its internal crises through moving its tools in the region, including Houthi terrorist militia to carry out its destructive practices, spreading chaos and terrorism, destabilizing the region and threatening safety of international energy and maritime navigation in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab.
He demanded the international community, the UN and permanent member states in Security Council to shoulder their legal responsibilities to stop Iranian regime's practices, which undermine peace efforts and realizing peace in Yemen, prolong the war, complicate Yemenis' humanitarian crisis and threaten international security and peace.
