Yemen participated in the 17th session of the meeting of the General Assembly of the Standards and Metrology Institute for Islamic Countries (SMIIC), which was held in Istanbul, Turkey, with a delegation headed by the Director General of the Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control, Eng. Hadid Almas.
During the meeting, with the participation of (47) Islamic countries and a number of regional and international organizations, the achievements made during the past year and a number of important working documents were reviewed.
The meeting came out with a set of decisions to move forward with the activities of standardization, specifications, accreditation, and Halal specifications in Islamic countries.
