Deputy Minister of Planning discusses with UN bodies food support to Yemen

Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nizar Basuhaib discussed Saturday with Senior Advisor of the UN David Nabaro future plans to implement outcomes of the national dialogues for food systems in Yemen.

Basuhaib confirmed significance of these outcomes implemented by Yemen in previous periods with support from the Unite Nations' organizations and future plans to implement tracks resulted in those dialogues and significance of financing and supporting activities of feeding plan in different sectors.

For his part, Nabaro pointed out to their continuous knowledge on Yemen's efforts aiming at building sustainable food systems, confirming their support to Yeme in this domain.

In the same context, Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Nizar Basuhaib discussed through visual communications with Director of the United Nations Network for Nutrition Stinky Onema financing promoting nutrition level plan and boosting developmental interventions to help local societies in producing food.

The meeting touched upon widening food security gap over reduction of humanitarian assistances and increasing needs of population to food, pointing out to importance of avoiding potential big crisis next year 2023.

He confirmed importance of direct interaction with the ministry of planning as one window system to ensure just direction of interventions and just distribution according to actual needs.

For her part, Onema confirmed that the network will work on avoiding food gap in Yemen and that Yemen's sectorial plan of increasing feeding level will get big concern and propaganda.
