Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badhib, discussed with the World Bank Country Manager for Yemen Tania Meyer ways to allocate additional support for food security projects in the agricultural and fish wealth sectors in the framework of sustainable support and local food production.
The meeting held in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on the sidelines of the meetings of a workshop for building and developing the capabilities of Yemeni institutions, discussed the priorities and mechanisms of coordination between the ministry and the World Bank and follow -up of the bank's annual meetings in October 2022, which will help to allocate resources and mobilize the necessary support for the portfolio of current projects .
The Minister stressed the importance of adopting a comprehensive food security while continuing to support steadfastness in building long -term investments that would complete humanitarian efforts and take into account the expansion of local production.
