Two treaties in field of water in Aden signed

Minister of Water and Environment Tawfeeq al-Sharjabi signed Thursday here two treaties with French Triangle Humanitarian Organization and Yemen Aid Organization for implementing projects in water sector.

The first treaty, with Triangle organization, includes implementing the second phase of Emergency Improvement of Health Conditions Project for combating pandemics, rehabilitating 30 wells in Bir Ahmad Field and providing population in high areas with water.

Meanwhile, the second treaty, with Yemen Aid, includes constructing a tank of capacity of 600 cubic meter, installing solar system and network to the Project of Makhaf Water in al-Misrakh District, Taiz Province.

The project will provide water services to up to six thousand people.

On the other hand, Minister of Water and Environment al-Sharjabi discussed Thursday with the team of Smartian US organization implementing a number of projects in al-Mawaset District, Taiz Province in the framework of the organization's plan of the year 2022.

Al-Sharjbai pointed out to significance of coordination with the ministry and its offices in the province to ensure ideal implementation of projects in areas of more need and boosting capabilities of relevant institutions and branches.

For their part, the representatives of the organizations confirmed the significant role of the institutions and branches for facilitating implementation of their projects and providing services to citizens in different provinces.
