Al-Eradah discusses with US Ambassador latest developments in Yemen

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council General Sultan al-Eradah met Wednesday with US Ambassador to Yemen Stephen Fagin discussing with him latest developments in Yemen and mutual relations between the two countries and means of promoting them.

Al-Eradah reviewed procedures taken by the Presidential Council and the government to support inclusive peace in Yemen, support of UN envoy's efforts and protecting the UN truce despite Houthi terrorist militia's stubbornness, its continuous violations to it, its continuous attacks against civilians in all provinces and its field military escalation and shelling army's positions.

He stressed significance of international community's responsibility to exert pressure on Houthi militia to honor its commitments and end its siege on Taiz city and stop all its aggressions, which complicate suffering of Yemeni people.

He pointed out that the Presidential Leadership Council works in accordance with clear visions and studied plans and is working on economic reforms and provide basic services to citizens, pointing out to significance of supporting efforts of the presidential council and support measures taken by the government to realize economic stability and improving services.

Al-Eradah praised US role of supporting the internationally-recognized government and making the political process successful, as well as supporting all efforts for realizing peace in Yemen in accordance with references of the political solution.
For his part, the US diplomat expressed commitment of the United States of joint efforts for fighting terrorism, pointing out to humanitarian benefits to the UN-brokered Truce.
