Minister of Finance, Governor of the Central Bank Discuss Comprehensive Reform Implementation with Arab Monetary Fund

Minister of Finance Marwan Faraj Bin Ghanem and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed al-Maabqi discussed Thursday with Dr. Fahad Al-Turki, Director General and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund implementation of the comprehensive reform program in the economic, financial and monetary sectors.

Minister of Public Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Saturday with Director General of World Health Organization Tedros Adhanom health cooperation between Yemen and the organization and his possible visit to Yemen as soon as possible to inspect health situation in Yemen closely.

The meeting touched upon some issues of common concern and means of solving them like polio, which has been reappeared in Yemen after announcing the country free of the disease in 2009 due to Houthi militia's banning vaccination against the virus.

Yemen demanded help from the organization to encourage and urge international medicine companies to re-export medicines to Yemen.
