The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, held a joint meeting today, Monday, with the National Defense Council, (NDC) in the presence of all its members: Sultan al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem al-Khanbashi.

His Excellency, President Rashad al-ALimi, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan on his election President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

President al-Alimi expressed his own and on behalf of the PLC heartfelt congratulations to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed on his election by the High Council of the Union a leader of the UAE, wishing him all the best and the UAE more prosperity under his leadership.

President al-ALimi highly appreciated the significant support the Yemeni leadership, government and people received from the brothers in the UAE through the Coalition in support of legitimacy in Yemen.

Al-Alimi voiced his confidence and the Yemeni peoples' that the bilateral relations between the two countries will witness an era of constructive cooperation under the new Emirati leadership.
