His Excellency President Dr. Rashad Muhammad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, departed today, Friday, from the interim capital, Aden, heading to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to hold consultations with regional and international actors regarding the latest developments in the local situation, particularly the recent events in the eastern governorates.

Al-Barakani confirms the Parliament's full support to the Presidential Leadership Council, Government

Speaker of Parliament Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani has avowed that the House of Representatives will be a staunch supporter and backer of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and the government, upholding their efforts to fulfill their national obligation, achieving the fair and permanent peace, reinvigorate the action of state's institutions.

His statement came in his speech at the first session of the parliament's first round of the unusual annual sessions held today in the temporary capital Aden.

He urged the PLC and the government to work on restoring the state, improving the peoples' living conditions, establishing security, stability, managing economic hardships and regularly paying salaries and opening highways, passageways and airport.

The Speaker of Parliament called on the Houthis to come to peace saying " Our hands hold the olive branch, don't let it fell down, it is an opportunity for us to move toward the fair and honorable peace".
