The Chargé d'Affaires of Yemen’s Permanent Delegation to the League of Arab States, Ambassador Dr. Ali Mousa discussed Monday with the Secretary-General of the Arab Economic Unity Council Ambassador Mohamadi Al-Ni ways to enhance joint cooperation between the delegation and the council, as well as mechanisms for developing joint Arab action in economic fields and making better use of available resources.

Al-Zaori discusses with Swedish organization implementing children projects

Minister of Social and Labor Affairs Mohammad al-Zaori discussed Tuesday with the delegation of Swedish childcare organization the organization's plan to take care of the children in Yemen for the year 2022.

The meeting touched upon continuous efforts and coordination to enhance social protection systems of children and providing support to weak groups over violence and violations and integrating children in the society.

Minister al-Zaori confirmed that Houthi militia's triggered war caused collapse of the specialized systems providing support and protection to children across the country as the militia is the greatest violator of childhood rights in Yemen, pointing out that the militia has recruited more than 30 thousand children as soldiers during the past few years.

He confirmed government's need of support to provide services to children, showing readiness of the government to work with partners and donors to provide services to children, praising efforts of the Swedish organization for its projects and programs it provides to Yemeni children.

For their part, the director of the organization in Yemen and advisor of childhood programs protection confirmed continuous implementation of programs and projects associated with children in Yemen and continuing coordination with the ministry while implementing all programs and projects.
