The Council of Ministers, in an extraordinary meeting held today, headed by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik, examined a number of topics and developments on the national and international arena in light of recent developments, and took a number of decisions and measures in line with the delicacy of the current circumstances and current challenges.

The Council of Ministers began its meeting by standing for a minute of mourning and reciting Al-Fatihah in sympathy for the soul of the heroic martyr Major General Thabet Muthanna Jawas, commander of the Al-Anad axis, commander of the 131st Infantry Brigade.

The Council was briefed on the measures taken to implement the Prime Minister’s directives to the military and security services and the concerned authorities to investigate this criminal and treacherous operation and reveal its circumstances to public opinion.

The Prime Minister briefed the members of the Council on the latest developments at the political, military, security, economic and service levels, and the ongoing coordination with brothers and friends to support the government’s efforts and plans to deal with the existing challenges, including mitigating the potential repercussions of international developments on the internal economic situation.

He referred to the military escalation by the Houthi militia at the behest of their Iranian backers and repeated terrorist attacks on vital facilities and energy sources in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and coordination between the government and the coalition to support legitimacy to confront this danger that affects the security and stability of the global economy without exception, especially in these sensitive circumstances the world is witnessing.
