U.S. Treasury Sanctions 21 Individuals, Entities for Involvement in Financing Houthi Militias
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Planning Minister discusses with Director of USAID's office development projects

RIYADH - SABA
Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb discussed Wednesday with Director of USAID's office in Yemen cooperation in field of development projects.

The meeting touched upon preparations for forthcoming response plan and aspirations for US support for mobilizing resources under international changes and the widening financing gap.

The two parties also discussed means of expanding mechanisms of evaluation and monitor, reduction of administrative expenses and means of enabling the government institutions for transferring into implementation means of economic recovery and basic services.

Planning minister confirmed plans of his ministry to boost work with USAID through government's projects in designing and planning forthcoming projects financed by the agency in their first phases and preparations for holding a meeting to discuss and revise the strategy of interventions regarding the agency's assistances.

For her part, the US official praised providing mechanisms easing discussions between executive partners from the agency and beneficiary executive bodies, especially speeding up sub-treaties and following up results of performance.
