Ministry of Electricity highlights need for renewing Saudi oil grant to ensure sustainable electricity supplies

Ministry of Electricity and Energy (MoEE) reported to the Prime Minister about the pressing need for extending and renewing the Saudi Oil Grant for operating electricity generate-stations in order to ensure sustainable improvement of electricity supplies.

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulamlik chaired a joint meeting today included senior officials of the MoEE, the General Corporation of Electricity (GCE) and Aden Electricity.

The session devoted to discuss the devised action-plans to increase electricity generate capacities in order to cope with increasing demand for power in the summer time.

The MoEE provided a detailed report about the measures which were taken to ensure effective use of the Saudi Oil Grant aimed to improve electricity supplies.

Dr. Ma'een urged extensive efforts to help managing challenges and improving electricity services.
