Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Wa'id Batheeb discussed Thursday with the regional leadership of Worl Bank the Regional Participation Note in Yemen for 2022-2023.
During the meeting, which included the Regional Director of the World Bank for Yemen, Egypt and Djibouti Marina Weis, the Regional Director of World Bank's Office in Yemen Tania Mayer and several officials of the ministry, confirmation of significance of including all notes made by the concerned bodies and holding another meeting for discussing the final draft has been stressed.
Minister Batheeb praised continuous support of the World Bank's group to Yemeni people and State Institution, pointing out to government's aspirations to discuss the plan and strategy of the group for participation in Yemen during the forthcoming two years through providing basic services, protecting human capital and transferring into development with boosting food security, ability for survival and providing work opportunities.
He also praised results of the World Bank's experiment in Yemen during the war through which it will be possible to make use of for building constitutional and legal institutions providing citizens justice, security, jobs and basic services.
He confirmed significance of consistence of the World Bank's strategy during 2022-2023 with priorities of the government of Yemen through supporting Yemeni people and their institutions and providing basic services to them.
