Minister of Public of Health and Population Qasem Buhaibeh discussed Monday with the Regional Director of Psychological Health of World Health Organization for the Middle East and North Africa Khaled Saeed issues associated with psychological health.
The meeting discussed means of supporting psychological health programs and training and qualification issues in the provinces, in addition to creating communicating networks with primary health facilities to train doctors.
Buhaibeh confirmed giving psychological health enough support with focus on support and medication to patients, who suffer psychological disorder over Houthi militia's triggered war and landmines, pointing out that the ministry gives this specialization utmost priority and works on providing hospitals and health facilities with medicines and other requirements.
For his part, Saeed confirmed his understanding of urgent needs for supporting psychological health and boosting joint work between the organization and the ministry.
