'MASAM' pulls out 3640 Houthi-laid landmines in a week

KSrelief Center's Demining Project in Yemen " MASAM" managed to extract 3640 of landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and explosive devices in the 3rd week of January 2022.

This large amount of landmines were laid down by Iran-allied Houthi militiamen in different Yemeni regions.

The KSrelief reported that MASAM's deminers removed 2994 anti-tanks and 179 anti-personnel landmines, 577 UXO and 158 explosive devices.

Since it has commenced its demining mission MASAM removed 311 thousand and 658 landmines, all planted by Houthi rebels.
