Aden - Saba
The Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights and the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights organized in the temporary capital Aden today a workshop on the human rights and humanitarian situation in Yemen as part of the celebration of the 73rd anniversary of International Human Rights Day, which falls on the tenth of December of each year.
The workshop reviewed two working papers, the first of which was prepared by the head of the Chamber of Commerce, Abu Bakr Ba’beed, in which he indicated that the security situation in our country left an impact on trade in general, which by extension aggravated the humanitarian situation, especially with the high exchange rates of foreign currency, while the second was about the work of the Independent National Commission for Investigation In Human Rights Violations as presented by Dr. Muhammad Al-Talyan.
The paper reviewed the activities of the National Committee aimed at monitoring all violations and punishing the perpetrators.
At the ceremony, many speeches were given by civil society organizations.
