Marib Dep. Governor calls on UN's agencies to step double down efforts to relief IDPs

Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abd-Rabbu Miftah has appealed for the UN's agencies and international humanitarian organizations to step-up humanitarian actions and interventions in the governorate to sustain the local authorities efforts to respond to the increasingly growing needs of the IDPs.
He stated that there are more than 2 million and 300 thousands IDPs distributed to 180 camps in Marib, amount to 62% of the total number of the IDP in Yemen.
During his meeting today here with Deputy Regional Director of the OCHA Office in the Middle East and North Africa Tareq Tlahima Miftah highlighted the IDPs pressing needs that put heavy burdens upon the governorate's limited basic services facilities and infrastructure.
He provided a detailed presentation about the IDPs situations, humanitarian suffering and basic requirements need to be met urgently to relieve them.
