Maritime Affairs Authority Discusses with European Nordic Support Foundation Enhancing Maritime Security
The Chief Executive of the General Maritime Affairs Authority Faheem Saif met Monday with the Regional Director of the International Support Foundation for the Nordic Countries Qasim Douali. The two parties discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of maritime security, pollution control and enhancing the Authority’s technical capacities.

Al-Eryani launches an appeal to UN, IC to break Houthi-imposed blockade on al-Abidia District

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism issued today an urgent appeal to the UN Secretary General, UN Security Council Preeminent Member States, International Community, (IC), UN's and US Envoys to Yemen to stop the genocide and war-crimes that Iran-allied Houthi militia has been committing against the unfortunate civilians villagers of al-Abidia District of Marib governorate.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) he said" Al-Abidia District's 35,000 inhabitants have been chafed under the yoke of a merciless chocking besiege imposed by Houthi racist-sectarian militiamen, even though the there are no military brigades, camps or targets in the district, there are 5300 families scattered throughout the district areas".

He added " Al-Abdia has been subjected to barbaric military attacks by Houthi militia's militants since 2015. On September 21, 2021 the militiamen imposed throttling blockade on the district, prevented foods, fuels and medicines supplies ".

The Minister quoted the militiamen atrocities and violations against al-Abdia villagers. " The Houthi militiants carried out 2523 military attacks on the villagers' houses and properties, 262 civilians injured, 3273 people arbitrary arrested, 18 schools were closed, preventing 8392 pupils from schooling, 442 cars were targeted.
