Minister of Finance, Governor of the Central Bank Discuss Comprehensive Reform Implementation with Arab Monetary Fund

Minister of Finance Marwan Faraj Bin Ghanem and Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen Ahmed al-Maabqi discussed Thursday with Dr. Fahad Al-Turki, Director General and Chairman of the Board of the Arab Monetary Fund implementation of the comprehensive reform program in the economic, financial and monetary sectors.

Yemeni-Italian parliamentary cooperation discussed

Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohsen Basorrah conducted talks today here with the Chairman of Italian-Yemeni Parliamentarian Friendship Committee Yana Kier and the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Relations in the Italian Parliament Fascino Byro.

The conversations in the two separate sessions aimed to further promote bilateral parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Basorrah detailed the Italian lawmakers on the latest developments about the situations in Yemen including economic hardship and humanitarian crisis as a result of Iran-backed Houthi militia's coup d'état against the Yemeni legitimate government.

He elaborately explained Houthi militia's crimes and violations against the Yemeni peoples including the Yemeni MPs against who the militia issued verdicts of execution, confiscating their own properties.

The Parliament Deputy Speaker called on the Italian parliamentarians to press for peace in Yemen by mounting pressures upon the Iranian regime, Houthi militia patrons, to enforce peace options.
