President Hadi meets German deputy foreign minister
[03/10/2021 06:46]
RIYADH – SABA
President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi met today with German deputy foreign minister during which many issues of common concern were discussed.

The President asked the German official to convey his greetings and congratulations to the German President and Chancellor and to the friendly German people on the occasion of the National Day, the Day of German Unity. He praised the strong relationship between the two friendly countries. He referred to Germany's role in supporting Yemen and its national consensus, which was reflected in the National Dialogue Conference which dealt with various issues in Yemen and represented society, including political forces, all sectors, civil society organizations, women and youth.

The President of the Republic also praised Germany’s role in organizing a series of exposure visits for Yemenis to understand the rich federal experience of Germany in this field, a cultural exchange project that was unfortunately foiled the Houthi coup.

He affirmed our country’s permanent position toward peace based on the three references and putting an end to the suffering the Houthi coup has caused to the Yemeni people.

His Excellency looked forward to Germany's support for Yemen economically to confront the current challenges, which are no less dangerous than the repercussions of the war and its disastrous effects resulting from the behavior of the coup militias and their vain attempt to convey the Iranian experience, which cannot be accepted by the Yemeni people.

For his part, the German Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his happiness with this meeting, stressing the strength and depth of relations between the two friendly countries and the multi-field cooperation.
