ADEN - SABA
Yemen's Supreme Judicial Council SJC has condemned the Houthi coup militia's execution of nine people including a child over the alleged killing of a Houthi senior militant, calling the execution the first crime of its kind in the history of the Yemeni judiciary.
The terrorist militia issued the sentence through a court it controls in Sana'a.
In a statement, the SJC stressed that what happened was a DIASTER by all measures that shook local, Arab and international public opinion.
The SJC called on the international community and all international, humanitarian and human rights organizations and civil society organizations to carry out their duty and assume their responsibilities and condemn such barbaric and brutal acts by the Houthi militia, which fly in the face of all litigation rights.
The SJC said the execution is a flagrant violation of the human rights guaranteed in all international and humanitarian conventions.
The militia had tortured the youngest of the nine accused to disability during his imprisonment in a Sana'a jail.
