Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik accused Iran-allied Houthi militia of deliberately and systematically destructing the country's infrastructure and national economy, citing yesterday ballistic missile and drones attack on al-Mocha seaport as a case-in-point.
As he received the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen Peter- Derrek Hof today, Ma'een stated that by assaulting Mocha's harbor, ruining its infrastructure, burning storages of relief organizations operate in the west coast and commercial goods the militiamen are insisting on further deepening the humanitarian crisis it has produced since it has carried out its coup d'état against the legitimate authority in the fall of 2014.
Maeen's conversations with Mr. Hof covered a range of topics including the UN-led peace efforts, Houthi militia's military operations on Marib governorate developments and Saudi Arabia, humanitarian situation, Safer oil tanker and the efforts to get Riyadh Agreement implementation accomplished.
The Prime Minister highly praised the Netherlands' significant role in support of the Yemeni government and peoples. He reiterated the government's full support for the UN envoy's efforts to resume political process.
The Dutch Ambassador expressed his country's concern about Houthi relentless escalation on Marib and the attack on Mocha harbor. Hof affirmed the Netherlands's support for the Yemeni government and the efforts it has been making to mitigate the humanitarian suffering.
