Bin Mubarak: Donor's role urgently needed to support development drive in Yemen
[07/09/2021 02:17]
THE HAGUE-SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed Awadh Bin Mubarak underscored Yemen's pressing need for active role by the international donors to support the government 's efforts to revive the development drive and mitigate the economic hardships the Yemeni people have been enduring as a result of Houthi militia's coup against the official Yemeni authorities.

He voiced his remarks as he met today on the sidelines of state's visit to the Hague with a number of Dutch politicians, intellectuals and journalists.

He provided an informative presentation about the grass-roots of the war triggered by Iran-backed Houthi insurgents who disrupted the political transition process aimed to establish a federal democratic state that ensures equal citizenship for all Yemenis, fair distribution of power and wealth.

He stated that the Houthis have carried out their coup d'état in a bid to impose a racist- theocratic and authoritarian ruling based on a mythical notion of their own heavenly inherited privileges of ruling and political power.

Bin Mubarak confirmed the legitimate government's is justifiably sticking to three terms of peace reference to establish a comprehensive and sustainable peace that can ensure equity among all Yemenis, renounce violence and make ballot box the only way to assume power.

He repudiated Houthi militia's outrageous claims and falsehoods about a blockade imposed on Yemen while the statistics of the UN for Verification and Investigation Mechanism (UNVIM) assert the follow of food , medicines and humanitarian aids to Hodieidah seaport has never stopped.

He also affirmed that fuels imports are allowed for all traders and businessmen in Yemen in accordance to legal procedures governing oil products imports stipulated by the Yemeni government in every harbor in the republic of Yemen without any discrimination.
