Al-Eryani says recruiting African migrants by Houthi militia a war-crime
[01/09/2021 01:07]
ADEN-SABA
Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Iryani decried Iran-allied Houthi militia for conscripting the African migrants and refugees to fight alongside the militiamen in different front-line battles.

He said " Houthis-run TV al-Masirah aired a funeral held for an Ethiopian migrant killed while he was fighting on the side of the militiamen. It is undisputable proof that Houthi militia has continued to recruit African migrants and refugees which constitutes a war-crime and an offence against humanity, breaching all international laws and conventions".

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the minister called on the UN, human rights organizations and the IOM to condemn Houthi militia's recruitment of African migrants and refugees to contribute to combat actions.
