Yemen's Ambassador to Warsaw, Dr. Mervat Mujalli has discussed with the member of the Polish Parliament and Chair of the Parliamentary Group on Women's Rights , Wanda Nowicka is, the violations of the Iranian-backed Houthi militia against women in Yemen.
In a videoconference, Mujalli indicated that more than 2.5 million Yemeni women in Houthi militia-controlled areas suffer from violations, persecution, torture and rape in prisons and detention centers at the hand of the militia members.
She said that women also face abuses like trumped-up charges to blackmail them into serving the militia or face the risk of being killed if they refuse.
