The presidency of the Yemeni parliament has called the mass replacement of public employees by the Sana'a-based terrorist militia of Houthis "a massacre on sectarian criteria."
In a statement, the parliament's presidency said the militia's ongoing process to replace 160 thousand public employees with loyalists to the theocratic sectarian militia will exacerbate the social divisions and make the wretched living conditions of the Yemeni people even worse given that the Yemeni people are already suffering due to the militia's confiscation of public salaries, imposition of many and exorbitant outlawed taxes and other forms of robbing.
The parliamentary body said these practices are crimes by an illegitimate and terrorist group. It called it "a destruction of the minimum remaining aspects and legacies of the" former Yemeni state.
It called on the Yemeni public, employees and political and social elites whether in the country and abroad to reject this systematic destruction of the Yemeni state's infrastructure.
