Deputy Governor of Aljawf, Eng. Abdullah Al-Hashidi, met with the Director of the World Food Program Office in Yemen, Laurent Bukera over the conditions of the displacees in IDPs camps in the districts of Khab Al-Sha`f and Al-Anan.
The deputy governor reviewed the humanitarian situation and the suffering experienced by the people in the governorate, especially the IDPs in the east and north of the governorate, the Khub Al Sha`af district and Al Anan district, in the absence of humanitarian interventions since March 2020 and the consequent lack of basic needs topped by food. He stressed the need to fit all the displaced families in those areas into the WFP beneficiaries list.
He referred to the incorrect information in the OCHA's report based on which recent aid was delivered calling better verification of information on IDPs and entitlement to aid .
For his part, the representative of the World Food Program in Yemen expressed the WFP's readiness to fit all displaced families in the said areas into the beneficiaries list.
