ADEN – SABA
The Joint Technical Committee to Prevent Child Recruitment at the Ministry of Legal Affairs and Human Rights organized today in the interim capital, Aden, a workshop on determining the outward appearances of child soldiers.
The Deputy Minister, Dr. Samir Al-Shaibani, affirmed the government's keenness to implement the road map that was signed at the United Nations (December 2018) in order to end and prevent the phenomenon of child soldier recruitments, noting that the ministry pays great attention to activating the regulations on child soldier recruitment prevention in cooperation with international organizations.
The Deputy Minister warned that the Houthi coupist militia is committing very major violations against childhood in Yemen by exploiting children in the armed conflict, recruiting tens of thousands of them, and depriving them of education.
