Yemen's Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheib discussed with the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development Badr Al-Saad, aspects of future cooperation, especially in the fields of reconstruction, development and peacebuilding.
Badheib reviewed the latest developments in Yemen and the government’s efforts to prepare for the country's reconstruction, in addition to the efforts made to address economic issues, especially due to the outbreak of the new coronavirus pandemic.
Badheib also thanked the Fund for appreciating the financial circumstances and difficulties facing Yemen at this critical stage, and its acceptance to delay the deadline for Yemen's paying back of the financial dues it owes to the Fund.
