USAID's support to improve Central Bank of Yemen discussed

A team from the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) headed by Vice Governor of the Bank Shakeeb Hubaishi discussed Thursday with BRAGMA Experts Team headed by Banks Control Expert Pier Sgyne the technical support provided by the US Agency for International Development or USAID for capacity building and improving the central bank in accordance with international standards.

The meeting reviewed and discussed banks control within the context of the executive plan matrix made by the experts and approved by the CBY's Board. The meeting touched upon a plan for improving control sector on other banks and improving its mechanism.

The meeting also touched upon meetings held by the CBY recently with development's partners led by USAID, British FCDO, World Bank and International Monetary Fund.

The bank will hold an expanding meeting to include all development's partners for coordinating technical support to the CBY and ensuring its inclusiveness to include all the bank's activities and improving its performance.
