BEIRUIT-SABA
The Deputy Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament, Elie Ferzli, received the Yemeni Ambassador in Beirut Abdullah Al-Doays today and discussed with him the latest political developments on the Yemeni and Lebanese arenas.
Al-Doays referred to the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference which had come up with consensus solutions for the various conflict drivers including the Saada and the Southe Yemen issues, but the Houthi militia, with Iranian support, sabotaged the national consensus and occupied state institutions by the power of weapons.
He said that the Houthi coup resulted in the devastating conflict Yemen is witnessing today. “Today, there are battles imposed on us, the last of which is the aggression launched by the Houthi militia against the Marib Governorate, which houses more than 2 million displaced persons, and the terrorist crime that the militias in Sana'a committed by burning African migrants in one of its prisons after they refused to participate in the fighting alongside the militia,” Al-Doays said.
